It all began with a little idea centred around my big love for coffee. We bought a horsebox back in the autumn of 2019, with no idea of what awaited us…
Seeing the trailer the next day, for the first time in broad daylight, was a sobering experience. Still not fully cleaned out from the last time a horse had been in it, we wondered what on earth we had gotten ourselves into.
Many hours of labour, driven by my talented father Stuart, followed. A complete overhaul of our vintage Beaufort horsebox—fabricating, welding, sanding, drilling, gluing and painting—you name it, we did it, to get this stallion to where it is today. Also, a special thank you to my mother Petra, for all the home-cooked meals that kept us going!
Securing events and learning everything about coffee was the next big challenge. I have met so many kind and helpful people along the way. Thank you to everyone who believed in me.
What began as a humble coffee box has evolved into a small, yet thriving coffee shop in a converted storage unit, serving local sports teams and the surrounding community.
As a professional athlete, coffee is an essential part of my daily routine, especially as a pre-workout boost before training. After trying numerous brands, I decided to create my own unique blends to share with my teammates and the broader community. I am passionate about selling custom blends of coffee in my own coffee shop, an achievement that fills me with pride.
